17-Year-Old Charged in Fatal OUI Accident
In June 2009, Kelly McCarron got behind the wheel after she had been drinking, and the resulting car accident took the life of her friend and passenger, 18-year-old Jena Pothier.
According to the Vineyard Gazette, 17-year-old Kelly McCarron has been charged with four counts of motor vehicle homicide, in addition to operating under the influence (OUI) and other charges. Investigators say both speed and alcohol played a role in the fatal car accident, which fortunately did not involve any other vehicles.
