Google Gifting Free Airport Wi-Fi For Christmas!

November 10, 2009 - The holiday spirit is already filling the air, especially if you plan on flying anywhere this holiday season as Google is partnering with Boingo Wireless, Advanced Wireless Group, and Airport Marketing Income, along with a few other companies to offer FREE Wi-Fi in 47 major airports between now and January 15th 2010.

Some of the participating airports include: Houston, Boston, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Baltimore, St. Louis, and Charlotte. To keep the spirit of holiday cheer alive and well, patrons using the free Wi-Fi will have the option of donating to Engineers Without Borders after logging into the free networks. Just in case you didn't think Google was doing quite enough, they will also be matching any donations made to EWB up to $250,000. As another bonus, the airport Wi-Fi network that generates the most donations will receive a $15,000 bonus from Google to give to the local nonprofit of their choosing.
