Protestors target wrong Twitter account

Grassroots activists from the ACORN and MomsRising organizations launched a Twitter campaign to protest Goldman Sach's refusal to sign the President's Making Home Affordable (MHA) program. Their efforts were for naught, though, as Goldman Sach's doesn't maintain a Twitter profile. Apparently the organizations aimed their angry tweets at an unofficial Goldman Sachs news site that has no corporate affiliation with the investment banking company.

According to a Wall Street Journal article, Goldman Sachs and three other mortgage companies were in the cross-hairs of the MomsRising group and received 32,000 letters regarding their lack of involvement in MHA. The executive director and co-founder of the group stated that Goldman Sachs was selected for a Twitter protest campaign because "the other three banks were less active on Twitter."
