Read This Blog before Running a Facebook Contest!

November 14, 2011 - Sadly, we had to close our Pandamonium Photo Contest early and without a winner, because we learned some new information about Facebook contests.

As you may know, we've been running a contest since mid-October where we asked our fans to submit a photo that included a paper cutout of our mascot, Browser. Once the photo was posted to our wall, the fan whose photo got the most "likes" would win an iPod Touch. Sounds simple enough, right?

Wrong. We were notified of their policies on contests by a business acquaintance and it turns out that entry to a contest by requiring the uploading of a photo on our wall is in violation of their terms. You can read the full promotion guidelines yourself, but that part alone told us we needed to cancel the contest.

"Well, there goes my time in the spotlight..."

However, we do have some good news! The "fan can" promotion part which ends tomorrow has gained tremendous response and netted us almost 100 new likes in a mere month! Thanks to all the new fans, we'll be donating at least 100 canned goods to the Million Meals Committee!

While we can't continue our photo contest, we're still glad to have gained all those new fans and be able to help out a local food bank in the process. We hope our donation helps many South Florida families get a holiday meal, and that our new fans will enjoy the great content that only We Do Web Content can provide!
