Thirst is one of the newest vampire movies to be released. Directed by Park Chan-wook, the film was previewed at the Dole Cannery for Members of the Hawaii International Film Festival on Sunday, July 26, 2009.
The film has won the "Jury Prize" at this year's Cannes Festival. The movie opens for all moviegoers in August 2009.
"Before the screening the film's director, Park Chan-wook, was honored with festival's vision in film award," KMBG9.com reported.
In the movie, a priest transforms into a vampire "after a failed medical experiment, resulting in a physical and psychological changes that lead him into an affair with the wife of his childhood friend," according to Yahoo Movies.
