Wearable internet gear is here and may soon be available at the affordable price of $350. A system developed by the Fluid Interfaces Group is the focus of an article by ReadWriteWeb's Richard MacManus that calls wearable devices "the most impressive future Web interface that [he's] seen in a while."

McManus is particularly enamored with the system worn by users which allows them to interact with the internet via a webcam, tiny battery-operated projector, mirror, phone, and colored finger caps.

Wearable internet systems could very well compete with mobile phones which have limitations related to functionality that wearable gear overcomes.
