When it comes to losing weight and staying healthy, a big component is healthy eating and snacking. Temptation is all around us with high calorie, empty nutrition foods. We all have our favorite "junk foods," but we should indulge in those every once in a while and instead embark on a healthy eating plan for life.
Healthy Eating
What is healthy eating? Wikipedia defines a healthy diet as: "...diet involves consuming appropriate amounts all of the food groups, including an adequate amount of water. Nutrients can be obtained from many different foods, so there are a wide variety of healthy diets."
WebMD defines it as, "Healthy eating means choosing a variety of foods from the basic food groups: meat and meat substitutes; dairy; fruits and vegetables; grains, such as breads and pasta; and a limited amount of fats and sweets."
Most weight loss programs, if they are to be successful, will include healthy eating with healthy snacks, and proper exercise. There really isn't any healthy way for fast weight loss and you should strive for healthy weight loss.
