Dr. Jacqueline Anderson, a consultant psychologist, examined the claimant in March 2006. Following a full mental status evaluation, Dr. Anderson diagnosed the claimant with recurrent major depression (Exhibit 19F).

Medical records from Dr. Bernardo Garcia-Granda, the claimant's treating physician since 2004, show the claimant was diagnosed with and treated for a major depressive disorder (Exhibit 27F/55).

Dr. Ronald Chassner, another of the claimant's treating physicians, noted that the claimant had bilateral grating and crepitus in her patellofemoral joints as well as bilateral patellofemoral compression (Exhibit 27F/72). In an updated examination, Dr. Chassner noted chrondromalacia in both of the claimant's knees and an internal derangement in the left knee (Exhibit 27F/81).

Following complaints of excessive daytime sleepiness and a history of snoring, the claimant underwent a sleep apnea test which revealed fragmented sleep, a change of obstructive sleep apnea with an apnea index of 5, and hypoxemia with apneas as long as 43 seconds with oxygen saturations as low as 72% (Exhibit 30F/28).

In September 2007, the claimant's attending physicians at Community Health of South Dade opined that the claimant was morbidly obesity and found that the claimant suffered from psychological symptoms including anxiety, depression, insomnia and anhedonia (Exhibit 31F/17 and 20).

At the hearing, the claimant testified that she suffers diabetes mellitus. Medical records dating back to November 2001, confirms that the claimant suffers from non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus. (Exhibits 30F/15 and 32F/6).

After considering the evidence of record and hearing the testimony, the undersigned finds that the claimant's medically determinable impairments could reasonably be expected to produce the alleged symptoms, and that the claimant's statements concerning the intensity, persistence and limiting effects or these symptoms are generally credible.

The State agency medical consultants' physical assessments and psychological consultants' mental assessments are given little weight because other medical opinions are more consistent with the record as a whole and evidence received at the hearing level shows that the claimant is more limited than determined by the State agency consultants.

6. The claimant is unable to perform any past relevant work (20 CFR 404.1565).

A vocational expert testified that the claimant's past work history included:
• Cleaner Hospital, DOT # 323-687.010; Medium; SVP = 2
• Child Monitor; DOT # 301-677.010; Medium; SVP = 3;
• Cook; DOT # 313-374.014; Medium; SVP = 5

Given the residual functional capacity provided above and the demands of the claimant's past relevant work, I find that the claimant is unable to perform her past relevant work.

7. The claimant was a younger individual (i.e., age 18-44) on the established disability onset date (20 CFR 404.1563).

8. The claimant has a limited education but is able to communicate in English (20 CFR 404.1564).
