July 13, 2009 – According to a recent survey by ScriptLogic, 6 out of 10 companies surveyed will not be upgrading to Windows 7 despite positive early reviews of the new operating system.

Mediapost reports that the companies choosing not to upgrade cite budget cuts and compatability concerns with current applications as the main reasons why they’ll be sticking with their current systems. The survey also found that only 5.4% of the companies that did say they would make the switch to Windows 7 are planning to implement the change by the end of the year, 34% plan on switching by the end of 2010.

Windows 7 is set to launch on October 22, 2009.
