Bing and Google Rolling Out New FAQs

December 28, 2009 – Everyone is getting ready for 2010, including Bing and Google, who both revamped and expanded their FAQ (frequently asked questions) sections last week.

On December 21st Bing launched their official Webmaster Center FAQ, which includes an edited compilation of their already-in-existence FAQs as a handy downloadable PDF. The new FAQ Center contains a table of contents and has questions separated into categories to help you find your answer faster. Of course Bing also promises to constantly update their FAQs with more useful information to answer your most burning web development questions.

Not to be outdone by their most ambitious competitor, Google took to their blog a few days later to announce the addition of info from their “Bionic Posters” (top contributors) to the frequently asked questions on their Webmaster Help Forum. Google wants you to know that in addition to their expert staff and ever expanding Webmaster Tools, Bionic Posters are on the case to answer your questions and “provide solid information” about search engine placement, getting your website indexed, and other helpful search-related topics.

Are your FAQs up to speed for the New Year??
