Burger King adds fun to recipe for redesigned site

Burger King’s revamped website was launched today and it features popular commercials and advertisements from the past. The site has sliding buttons that allow visitors to literally dial in the content they want to see on the site.

For example, to increase content relevant to BK’s menu offerings, users can max out the “Food” slider. To view more of BK’s advertisements, a visitor can up the “Fun” button. “King” is the third, and final, selection that fans can opt to manipulate.

According to a Wall Street Journal article, BK’s vice president of marketing, Brian Gies, believes that the site will attract people who are looking for old commercials and movie cross promotion ads like the “Simpsonize Me” campaign of 2007.
