Social media platform Facebook has offically surpassed it’s largest competitor, MySpace in unique visitors in the US. Data released by tracking group comScore found that Facebook received 70.278 million unique visitors while rival MySpace received 70.236 million.
While Facebook’s unique visitors worldwide surpassed MySpace last year, the all important US tally had Facebook lagging behind by as much as 9 million visitors only last March.
Tech Crunch reports that while analysts and experts believed Facebook would have naturally beaten MySpace at some point this year, these recent numbers show that Facebook has reached its goal much sooner than expected.
