October 21, 2009 – Google is upgrading Google Analytics to include more customization, increased reporting capabilities, and a new feature called the “intelligence engine” that will alert you to data trends as they develop.
The intelligence engine is one of the most exciting new features to Analytics, allowing users to customize default alerts when their tracked data leads to insights, which is wonderful for marketers testing trends on their websites. Google Analytics will also let you create custom alerts based on specific campaigns.
Other new features on the program include, expanded tracking for mobile applications, selecting expanded site engagement goals for your website, table filtering and other advanced analysis options, and increased customization for a variety of the website’s overall features (including how the data is displayed).
