What’s New at We Do Web Content?

We’re a week into the New Year and already big plans are being put into motion at We Do Web Content! Our team is gearing up to make 2013 our best year yet, and with the ongoing success we’ve been enjoying we know it’s going to be a lot of hard work to top the past four years!

Growing the We Do Web Content Team

Over the course of 12 months we saw several faces come and go within our internal operations. It was definitely a year of love for some of our We Do Web Content alumni! Our long-time content manager, Tricia Woolfenden, left to pursue a freelancing career and start a new life as a married woman. Also, one of our former content managers, Allison Goldstein, heard wedding bells late in the year.

Early in 2012 we brought Sarah Diener onto the team as an in-house editor and watched her go from engagement to wedding in just a few short months! Shortly thereafter, she returned to her college roots at theUniversityofNorth Floridato pursue a career in admissions marketing.

You’d think at this point we would have run out of staff members to celebrate love, but the holiday season wouldn’t be complete without another engagement – congratulations to our Senior Editor, Amanda Shaw!

Even with many of our staff members moving on to pursue new career paths, we’ve kept our team awesome with the addition of three new permanent positions. We first welcomed Danny Hobrok to the team as a full-time in-house editor, providing an exemplary attention to detail which will help us ensure our clients only receive the cleanest, most professional content on the Web!

Next came Damon Abramson, an SEO mastermind who has been the catalyst for several of our new projects and endeavors. If you thought We Do Web Content knew the SEO industry before, just wait until Damon’s contributions really start to show within the next few months! Finally, our latest addition is Darlene Cornish, our new sales representative whose friendly voice has been connecting us to new clients and business opportunities across the country.

Times They Are a Changin’ at We Do Web Content

Working primarily on Internet-based marketing, there’s no such thing as “stability” when it comes to how things are done. That being said, We Do Web Content is constantly changing and enhancing the way we provide services to our clients. This can be as simple as adjusting keyword density requirements in our article standards, or something more complex such as learning an entirely new content management system.

Both of these changes occurred in 2012 and have helped improve both the quality of content we provide and the methods in which we deliver and manage all that content!

As the year progressed, so did the state of search engine optimization, thanks to the many algorithm changes from Google. We saw Pandas and Penguins punishing some of the Internet’s biggest SEO nuisances, but also cause panic for several legitimate sites. Thankfully, our clients remained mostly unharmed, and we continued to update our SEO best practices to comply with all the new rules and tactics to improve search rankings.

On Deck For 2013

The biggest news we can announce for now in the We Do Web Content universe is that our website will be undergoing a complete remodel both in design and content. Look for a beautiful new interface and content organization system for WeDoWebContent.com within the next few months, and even more exciting – the debut of We Do Web Content Plus!

What is WDWC+? It’s our new website devoted to our expanding client base. WDWC.com will continue to focus on our legal clients – law firms and lawyers who know that content is king when it comes to legal marketing strategy. WDWC+ will focus on other industries that benefit greatly from content marketing – doctors, lifestyle websites, travel services – businesses in any industry can improve their Internet outreach with quality, relevant content!

Another thing to look forward to is the release of our latest eBook. Our co-founder, Yvette Valencia reveals the top 10 reasons your website doesn’t generate leads – and tips on how to fix them! There are plenty more eBooks on our action list, so we’re looking at a very educational year ahead!

We’re bringing back the We Do Web Content newsletter in full force. In addition to the important SEO, marketing, editing and writing news, tips and insight we already provide in our daily blogs, we’re featuring even more content in our monthly periodical.

The entire team will be contributing, so watch for Amanda’s editing education, Danny’s writing wisdom, Darlene’s sales secrets, Damon’s SEO standards, and Lisa promises to try and contribute some relevant content instead of constantly writing about tasty recipes she brings to the office. It will be available in both print and digital format.
